Ok, so yesterday...er...2 days ago since its now 2:00 in the morning, was 4th of july, and it was pretty cool.
It started off a bit abnoral, with me waking up before 11 o'clock (10-ish was when i actually got up), which is early for me. I got up early because i had to check my phone, as i didn't know when Amanda was coming over for the VFMA party thing. I had not recieved that informative call and wandered around the house in my boxers for a coupld hours before finally going up to the park to join the festivities at about 12/12:30. I hung out with my dad who was DJ-ing the whole even with friend Mr. Moore. In addition i got my snack on with some cool patriotic desserts and barbeque burgers and hot-dogs.
After some time i got a call from the gf saying she would be there in about 30 min or so. I got tired of actually waiting, as i normaly do, and got in the pool for a little to cool off from the humidity and such. I got out of the pool to check on my dad and everything down at the park and saw that amanda had indeed arrived. I ran up and threatened a soaking wet hug more than once.
We went up to the pool area and after some prodding, got her to go into the pool despight some sunburn she had picked up the day before. We swam and chilled for a bit and then went down to the park to get some food and whatnot...this cycle went on for a while, and throw in some pool wrestling and killing Grant for good measure.
Then the pool was evacuated due to thunder and stormy skies. Bored as we were, Amanda and i walked home to find out what my mom was doing and to possibly get some cards to play with. No sooner did we get home than the wind picked up and the storm really threatened. We got into my moms car to go back to the park and see if all the stereo equitment needed to be packed up in case of showers. Blah blah blah, it started raining and we went home after helping pack up stuff at the park.
We hung out inside while it rained and took up time by learning card games from each other. I taught Spite and Malice and learned Spit. Amanda still had not beaten me at spite and malice, tho not for lack of trying. The rain cleared up and we went to put chairs in the back of the car in preparation for fireworks. Somewhere in the middle of what i just told u, we watched my Italy beat her Germant team in the World Cup....we went up to the top deck and hung out there, stuff was tempted to happen...but um..my mom showed up every so often to ask about dinner of w/e. Then we went down thro the garage but were...um..held up there...anyway...
We went to the fireworks, but not before stopping at McDonalds for some grub. The fireworks were situated right on the football and soccer feilds behind gateway shopping center. Since it was local i saw many people i knew whilst Amanda and I wanderd before the display...sightings included: Elizabeth, Rory, Duffy, squill, and kourtnaye. The fireworks display was sucky...but oh well stuff happens. We returned home for some TV and late night cereal eating before returning Amanda home.
Leaving the night was sad cause i wont see amanda again until august..and that sux...
ok thats all i got for now

blah, today was boring and kinda sucky.
I woke up at normal time and thats ok for and it was good cause i got a text message from my girlfriend saying that plans have changed and she could hang out tomorrow...good stuff...at first. So i watched Tv for a little and then went out to help cover the roof of the wood shed. We had to cover it with the roof cover stuff was soo sticky it was basically impossible to do at all...both of us on top heavy step ladders dealing with this paper stuff that sticks to life itself. so that was a cotastrofic failure and we never got more than 4 feet of it on the roof.
Next I had to go to my PAPA league basketball game. It went alright and we were winning when it got called in the 3rd quarter because of thunder and lightning and impending torential rains. So yea thats reschdualed for...whenever.
Then later on i went to outback for dinner, which is always good. But i found out from my girfriend that basically said she couldnt hang out tomorrow because...long story...blah blah blah babysitting at the last minute cause of her mom...but yea...sux.

As of this morning i hadnt eaten anything for about 30 hours...which i remedied as soon as i was sure i'd keep it in me lol. So, thats about all the news that's fit to print right now. Oh, and 4th of july weekend is kinda in full swing? is it? well 4th of july is gonna be good...party at the park/pool, fireworks and the gf is gonna be there too...good stuff. Aight later

Ok so great stuff going on last night:
It had been planned for like a week that in honor of my birthday (a couple days away, but still) my gf and her parents were gonna take me out for dinner and then do the normal thing and go back to her house and umm...watch movies, like we always do. When i was picked up yesterday afternoon i suspected nothing as we drove to philly to go to some large pasta type place. The food was "meh" so that was w/e. When we left i still didnt know anything and we drove around philly kinda lost for like 20 min...and then stopped for a second or two and at this time Amanda pulled out an envolope which i stole quickly and firgured it out. Tickets to the Matchbook Romance/ Yellowcard concert at the electric factory...which was right around the corner.
Needless to day this was pretty sweet. we got in early and got good, um, standing spaces front row but off to the left. Some weird band (Hedley) with a gay-ish front man who mooned the crowd for like an entire song.
Next was supposed to be Matchbook Romance but they ha some technical difficulties for like 45 min of just quite standing around. When they fainlly did come onstage they had to shorten their set to about 5 songs...all of which were good or course, but they had the mics too quiet and the bass system too loud.
Next and last of course was the main attraction of Yellowcard. They opened with Breathing (some wild violin stuff) and then moved on to stuff on their 2 most recent albums. They stopped and elaborated on why Ryan Key wrote Waiting Game (a small love story he read about in the paper during the Tsunami disaster.) and about Only One. They joked on stage about ryan having no friends or girls lol...funy stuff. They played other hits (Rough landing Holly, Ocean avenue, twenty three...where they showed off their acoustic skill lol) They ended with Way Away and Lights and Sounds. then it was sadly over, tho in exiting the stage i got to shake hands with their guitarist. We left and went to meet up with amanda's parents and such.
We got kinda lost on the PA turnpike on the way home, which was good actually...
Ok so thats about it, the whole night rocked and I must say that Yellowcard give quite a good concert performance. word

I did some chorse....played basketball for a half an hour or so. After that i got picked up to go to Amanda's house. I was stuck in traffic for a quite some time cinsidering it was rush hour and all. once i got there it didnt matter, we hung out at the mall and then went back to her house for ummm..a while...and then home i went...here i am...and gone am i...later everypeoples

alright...so today was a little bit of dropoff...at time...and good at times.
I woke up promtly at like 11 or so...had some waffles and went to work for about 2 or 3 hours to do my cleaning duties. I got home around 4 and started to get ready to go again. At around 5:30 my mom and i left for glenside, Pa to go to the comedy shoe at the keswick theatre. We were going to see steven Wright after getting tickets from Mr. The Sorceror (spelling?). We went and got first row seats which rocked. we then sat for about 2 hours with busted guts waiting for the unusal observations of Steven Wright, if u haven't heard of him...do so immediately...very funny dude and i would know...i watch more stand up that is probably healthy.
Ok so here i am, and im done. tomorrow ill probably sleep in until like 12, then go play some basketball and swim at the hood' pool. Then go to the gf's house for a while...and so on and so forth...

Friday, June 09, 2006

well, im quite tired, but also quite bored. So i figured i'd post something right quick...didnt do much today...it was finally sunny so i tried my luck up at the park playing some basketball finally. I was only there like 15 min before it started to rain in sheets. I took refuge at my friend Whit's house and we played video games and watched FIFA world cup for a couple hours (he's British...it makes sense with the soccer lol). then i wandered home and chillaxed there for a couple hours before going out to a late (10:00) dinner at Winberies where i exchanged verbal (albeit good natured) attacking remarks with the bartender there. And then i came home...called the gf, watched Craig Ferguson and here i am now...ok...fun...and illl porbably do it all over again tomorrow...later "my cheeky wee monkeys"
